Our Mission

At Sunshine ABA Therapy, our mission is to work with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities in a positive manner using evidence-based ABA therapy individualized to meet the needs of each child. We evaluate each child so we can meet them where they are and help them to build life skills and develop functional communication to promote self-advocacy in day-to-day life.

My Story

I love Psychology! The study of the human mind just fascinates me. I began to think about human behavior when I was old enough to realize my father had a mental illness. This was the beginning of my journey to understand others that may not act, speak, or socialize like we are used to. I decided I wanted to make a difference and help families have better relationships with one another. This journey took me to the field of ABA Therapy. After receiving my Bachelor in Science degree in Psychology from University of Central Florida I then furthered my studies at Nova Southeastern University. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology coupled with an Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis Certification, an intense practicum. After passing the board exam I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2016.

Why We Do What We Do

Working with children and their families has been my happy place in life. We love seeing families learn to communicate and understand each other’s needs. The desire to help families has brought me where I am today. We strive to see kids feel accepted and comfortable in their home environment. We also love to help the star of each family, the mothers, who tirelessly try to keep everyone happy and healthy. As we continue to grow Sunshine ABA Therapy, I know it will truly make a difference in all our lives and we will be able to say we offer therapy for a brighter future.
